We booked a 4 day safari thru Josh. Cost went up as they raised the park fees. It was now $480 including transportation and accommodations. We left Nairobi around 9:00 on Friday, Jan 21st with another couple (USA, but didn't like to admit it), our driver/guide named Joseph and the cook - Kefa.
This looked good, but we picked up an Aussie couple a little latter and the van was really too crowded. Once you get to the Masi Mara (the Kenyan side of the Serengeti) the trails required a Land Rover. We however, had a rear wheel drive Nissan van with very little compression, or suspension.
Food was good, accommodations were great, and the wildlife - stunning.
